What Others Say about NSME....

George, Tony, I just wanted to say thanks again for today. Jonah had a great time, and the feedback we have received from parents this evening has been universally positive with a lot of people commenting that they had no idea you were there. Thanks to Tony for making us all feel welcome, and to everybody who was involved in looking after us and running the trains. The crocodile was very well appreciated, as was the 'Happy Birthday Jonah' sign as we came in. Tony mentioned on the phone last week that we didn't really need anything like a bouncy castle to keep the kids busy - he was spot on.

Thanks again - we'll try and make it to one of the public days before the end of the season

Kind Regards

Hi George

Just a quick email to say thank you so much for everything on Tuesday.

Everything went brilliantly our end, and the children (and their parents) had a great time.

Every parent who came had no idea the site was even there and myself and D praised all your hard work on the open days, so I hope you will get a visit from them all next weekend.  (7th)

Again, thanks for yours and everyone else's help to make M's 4th birthday really special.

Hello

For the first time in the thirteen years we have lived in Northampton we went along yesterday (Sunday 4th) and enjoyed a ride on your really splendid railway. What a really terrific setup it is. You have, it seemed to me, lots of beautiful scale models pulling huge crowds of people who were all thoroughly enjoying themselves, adults and children alike. Our 3 year old granddaughter loved every minute.

Your staff were helpful and at 50 pence per ride, it is possibly the best value for money anywhere!

We'll be back!

Regards

Public Running Day 3rd August

Just a short note to thank all of the NSME staff for a very enjoyable afternoon with our young (3 year old) grandson last Sunday.  Granpa enjoyed it just as much!.  We were looking for somewhere in the area to take our grandson who, thanks to excellent upbringing!, is fascinated by trains.  I remembered from years back that there was a Northampton Model Engineers site at Delapre but despite living in the area for over 40 years I do not remember visiting with our own sons.  Google as usual provided the info and as luck would have it the day was right for public running.  Everything was excellent and certainly exceeded my expectations.  It reminded me of Dobwalls in Cornwall which was based on American steam locos which I am sure you must know about.  Unfortunately, for some reason it closed down a few years ago and the rolling stock etc. was apparently sold to an Australian buyer.  A sad loss.  Anyway we have now found our own Dobwalls in Northampton and will be returning  with or without grandsons.

Many thanks again to all concerned,

Kind regards,

Hello Geoff,

On our behalf could you please give a big thank you to everyone at the club for making yesterday one to remember. We all enjoyed our visit. Everyone at your club made us welcome. It was a pleasure to be amongst you all and to share a great day.

We would like to come and visit again in the future and hopefully get some of our other club members to bring locos too!

Many thanks
M,K & I .

Hello,

I brought my little boy down today and just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful afternoon.

There was a lovely atmosphere around the place and that is all down to your hard working, enthusiastic and helpful volunteers.
From the ticket office duo to the ticket collectors, guards to drivers and the ladies in the tea room (lovely cakes as well!), everyone was friendly while maintaining the organised and professional approach needed to ensure all had a safe and pleasant visit.

I will be returning again as soon as I can, Elwood enjoyed it immensely, he fell asleep on the way home and the first thing he said to his Mum when he woke up was "Choo-choo"!

I really can't praise you all enough, please pass on my thanks to everyone involved.

Regards
Phil T.

This is just a quick email to express how we thoroughly enjoyed our day today at your railway.

A very nice gentleman came up to us in the park while we were having a picnic, and explained what was inside.

It was our first visit and the kids really enjoyed it and so did we, we will be back in September and will be bringing the whole family, once again thank you so much.

Regards, Kelly

Dear Sir/Madam,

I thought I would write to thank you all so very much for the train rides days in the summer.

My wife and I went twice with our grandchildren.

The event was something quite memorable. Happy, and good fun for everyone.

An oasis of bygone days.

Thank you once again.

Best wishes

PS I thought about writing this in the Chronicle an Echo but didn’t want too many others to know about you!
